Report types

The three report shapes PrevIQ generates and when to use each.

PrevIQ produces three distinct report shapes. Each answers a different question.

Type A — Client summary

"Give me the overall prevalence story for one laboratory."

A sales-ready overview of a single lab. For each syndrome it includes:

  • estimated specimen count and the panels involved,
  • the top organisms by prevalence (up to 20 per syndrome), each with tested/detected counts, rate, tier, and confidence interval,
  • the standard methodology footnote.

Use it for: client conversations, onboarding decks, and reimbursement support.

  • Generate it — Reports page → pick a lab → preview → download. Or via the API.

Type B — Panel recommendation

"Which organisms belong on this lab's panel for this syndrome?"

For one lab × one syndrome, every organism is classified INCLUDE / WATCH / RARE, sorted by prevalence, with header counts for each bucket.

Use it for: panel design and menu rationalization. See Panel classifications for the rules.

Type C — Cross-client comparison

"How does this organism's rate vary across laboratories within one syndrome?"

A vendor × organism pivot for a single syndrome. Each row is an organism; each column is a lab.

Use it for: internal OSPRI analysis and benchmarking. (This view is primarily internal.)

Choosing the right report

I'm preparing for a client meeting

Start with the Type A client summary — it's the readable overview. Add a Type B panel recommendation if the conversation is about menu/panel changes.

I'm designing or trimming a panel

Use the Type B panel recommendation. The INCLUDE / WATCH / RARE buckets map directly to keep / monitor / drop decisions.

I'm benchmarking labs against each other

Use the Type C cross-client view to see one organism across all labs in a syndrome.

What every report guarantees

  • A transparent denominator — Every report states that rates use an all-tested-specimens denominator.

  • Honest precision — Tiers and confidence intervals travel with every rate — small samples can't masquerade as solid.
