Explore

Filter, sort, and drill into prevalence rollups across syndromes, panels, organisms, and labs.

Explore is the workbench. It exposes the full table of prevalence rollups with filters and sorting, so you can answer specific questions on demand.

Filters

Filter Effect
Syndrome Restrict to one syndrome bucket (e.g. UTI).
Vendor Restrict to a single laboratory.
Organism search Focus on one canonical organism. Type a few letters and pick from the suggestions — you don't need to type the whole name.
Panel Restrict to a specific panel within a syndrome.
Min n Hide rows below a sample-size floor (drops noisy small samples).
Tier Show only the sample-size tiers you select (A, B, and/or C).

Tip

The Organism search box is a typeahead: start typing (e.g. coli) and choose a match from the dropdown. Use ↑/↓ and Enter, or click. The little ✕ clears it.

Filtering by tier

Use the Tier toggle to view exactly the evidence strength you want:

  • An ≥ 100 (strongest)
  • B30–99
  • C< 30 (exploratory only)

Select one or more tiers to restrict the table; select none to show all. For example, toggle A to review only the strongest evidence, or A + B for everything clinically reportable. The tier selection is part of the shareable URL and is carried into exports.

Tip

Min n and Tier work together. Tier is usually the clearer control — toggle A instead of remembering that "100" means Tier A.

Filtering by date range

Scope a view to a specific time window with the Date control: pick a preset (Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Last 12 months, Year to date) or set a Custom start/end. The inputs are bounded to the dates actually present in the data, shown as Data: <start> – <end>.

When a date range is active, PrevIQ recomputes prevalence live for that window — tested, detected, rate, tier, and confidence interval all reflect only specimens in the window — and a Live badge appears. The window is part of the shareable URL and is carried into exports.

Note

Date filtering needs a vendor or syndrome selected first (the control is disabled until then). This keeps the on-the-fly computation fast and scoped. Narrow windows naturally have smaller n, so rows may shift into lower tiers — that's correct, not a bug.

Grouping level

Prevalence can be rolled up at three levels. Explore lets you choose which one you're looking at:

  • Vendor — One row per (vendor × syndrome × panel × organism). The most granular view.
  • Syndrome — Pooled within a syndrome across panels.
  • Cross-vendor — Pooled across all labs — the "industry" view for an organism.

Columns

Each row shows the organism, its panel and syndrome, tested and detected counts, the prevalence rate, the sample-size tier, the 95% confidence interval, and whether it's clinically reportable.

Note

Tier C rows are styled muted/italic. They remain visible so you can see the full landscape, but the styling is a constant reminder not to over-read a small sample.

Sorting

Sort by prevalence rate, tested, detected, organism, syndrome, panel, or vendor — ascending or descending. The default is prevalence rate, descending, so the strongest signals surface first.

Export what you see

Any filtered view can be exported. The CSV export button (in the header) hands you the current selection as a file; the API offers CSV, Excel, and JSON. See Export formats.
